it was 73 today!

I have wrote this post over, I don't know how many times, and have stressed over it. Getting what I want to say to come out just right. And you know what, none of this matters.

The only thing that truly matters, is getting your heart, right with God! and to do that , you need to meet His Son, Jesus. Talk to him, get to know Him. He is waitting for you, with His arms wide open!!!

I feel, I I need to apologize for my lack of knowledge, too a group of men , known as preachers .

Up until a year or so ago, I had always thought of preachers,as having the inside track of the good life. As in never having any worries or cares, they were up there on a higher plane, with God.

To me , they were like a Superman, they took care of everyone , their church , their own family.

They know everything, they never got sick , never tired , and didn't know what the word "STRESS" was. Basically they had it made!

But I was soooo wrong in my thinking , as I said before in this last year and part of this year, Thanks to blogland, but really thinking that God is the one that sat forth this!

That I have gotting to know some really cool (men) preachers, and some that are really funny,

something I didn't know , one could be! sorry about that "B" , and I even made some friends too. and hope they are still my friends, after they read this, and forgive me.

This is what I have learned, they do take care of everyone , and they are very smart, but in a humble way. But they do get sick, and they do get tired , and they know the meaning to the word, "STRESS" to well!

Every year around Oct. they have Pastor Appreciation , I don't know when it stated or who started it. But it was and is a very cool, I even post about it , but since then I have a deeper Appreciation for Pastor's and their family's , and they should be appreciated all year, not just in Oct.

In getting to know some of you, I have learn to Dig deeper into the word,don't give up, pray for one another , and a sense of humor goes a long way, in helping with Stress!

So thank you very much, for being who you are!

It is hard to belive that is has been an year, since I stated this blog, 200 posts.

And what a year it has been! I have met alot of people, and have made a few friends,along the way to boot!

I have learned alot from some very smart people, have had my mind changed on alot, that I thought were one way, but found out it wasn't. I have alot of people to thank for helping me grow in many area's of my life. and I want to thank you for letting me be apart of your life, and you for being apart of mine!

One of them things happens when you an't watching, had just got home from church, and I fell and banged myself up good,

So if you don't hear from me , you will know i counldn't get out of bed in the morning! OUCH!!!!!!!!

The storm had stop, the one good thing about this storm ( if you can call a storm good,) was that it didn't get on the roads, and you could still get around. So My husband, went back to work, and I kept the home fires burning . to pass the time, I took pictures, read my bible more , then I had been, and went for walks , to check on mom,

One Day everyone left for the day, and the lights came on. so I walked down to see how thing were at mom's , and on my way back , the sheriff drove up with the National Guard, checking on everyone in our county.
they were checking to see if we needed any thing , before the next storm got here! That was a first for me. Then the power went off again! we had it for 2 hours, when everyone came home , that nite , I don't think they believed me, when I told them what had happen that day!


well the other storm did hit , and hard but it was snow and it covered the ground fast ,
but it didn't last long ,
on the day that power came one , I went to bed and covered up my head , I had had enough!

but the power did come on , and we have a lot to be thankful for , the waterlines still work,
we had wood heat!
well now it is clean up time, and get ready for the next one , they say is coming in Feb.

The days weren't that bad, because if the sun was shining!
The first 3 days we ( there were 3 of us working ) would see if we could it to the highway, we live way back from it, it didn't take us long , before we came to our first stop in the road. Saturday we worked for 3 hours cutting up trees to get to the highway, and we had to do this for 3 days cutting our way out, and it was kind of spooky doing it , you had to watch out for falling tree limbs, or the whole tree, the wind would start to blow, and the ice on the limbs would play a tune,
But when the sun went down, you would try to get things set before it got dark.
We would cook the food on the wood stove , a would light candles and listen to the raido, it was just like the Walton's

Didn't get alot of sleep, had to keep the Fire going. One night a louded crash woke us up, one of the trees fell on our house , But Thank The Lord no damage was done!

An monster of and ice storm came, and covered everything!
Saturday morning when we got up,it was a new world. The ice had covered all the trees and powerlines , and it just kept a coming ! Kept baring down putting more and more ice on until snap , down they came on at a time and then 2 or 3 at a time, and the wind was no help! then the power lines started to fall, and there went the power to the house, and there you are in the Dark and helpless, or so you think! We today are so hooked on the man made power that when it goes out , we feel that our lifes have stoped, no TV, pc, no play station, no phone, no way to cook , clean , no BATHROOM! We are so hooked that we have forgotten about the only Power that really matters here, God's Power!

When I saw the Trees bending over from the weight of the ice and the look of them, it brought to mind that this is what sin will do to you, weight you down!

At night the noise of the falling trees was so loud , and wouldn't stop!
