We have a 'nesting' couple that live in the area. When you see one of them hunting along the bayou it is a magnificent view and you can understand the power in their flight. Three years ago on Christmas Day I stepped outside just in time to see one soar right over me at about 100 feet. Big birds and it doesn't take much effort for them to move with those wings. There is a lot of power there.
Dear Jel...I see that you have your favorite verse posted. You are always telling us that it is your verse! It kind of goes well with the verse on David Fishers' blog about being under His wings!
I just love it when George Bev Shea sings this song about the eagles. I never get tired if hearing him sing it.... "They shall run and not be weary"...Oh the blessedness of it!

I, too, love that verse. I've had it hanging on a plaque in my room since I was 14 or 15. :)
