Fall is here , once more!

My time these days are spent with my mom, she can no longer stay by herself. one of my brothers and sister stay the rest of the time with her!

PUTTING ON AIRSSSSSSSS

At the Festival, there were alot of Vendors there selling their wares , a person could drop a lot of money there. ;)

One of the Vendors had cookies for sale , and not just any cookies ! They were OLD World Cookies, A very nice Lady told us the story of the cookie and how they made them back then.

There was Cookie presses there too, and very good looking ones! We brought a few of the cookies and a booklet of the History and Folklore Of the (OLD WORLD COOKIE RECIPES)

it is a very cool little booket to read

here are some of the cookies that we got there,

they are called 17TH CENTURY ROSEWATER COOKIES

The enterainment was very good ,

but hands down the TULLINTRAIN PIPE BAND, was the best!

we talked with a Father and son from the band, and they were very nice to talk too.

They ask if we were going to stay for their next show at 3:00? So we did and was glad we did.

They asked all the people with Sept birthdays, to come up with them and they played Happy Bday to them., it made my DH's day, But I was out of film and didn't get a shot of it ! ;(

My Husband is of Irish descent, and I'm told that I'm of Welsh descent.

anyway , the Festival is a two day deal, Friday~Sat.

Friday is a Golf Tournament, then friday nite starts it off , with the Calling of the Clans and

the Gaelic Blessing. We havn't been to this let, maybe next year we can.

Saturday starts at 9:am and goes all day. They have a hold schedule of Events , from singers and Dancers, parade of the Tartans, a Formal Ceremony with a Pipe Band. there was the Highland games, workshops, Art ~Animals, Food, WE love some of the food , they had, fish~chips , Scones, Toad~in~the~hole, Scotcheggs, (were the ones that we liked the best)

and the Cookies were out of this world , and i will tell about them later

some of the pictures are fuzzy and done for a reason as was some of the backs of the people

The first weekend of Sept. , for the last five out of six years , we have been going to the

Celtic Heritage Festival & Highland Games.

Held in Buffalo, Mo. They have Highland Games all over, but the one in Buffalo is the closes one to us!

anywho, we go to them for 2 reasons, one is that it lands on or around my husbands Bday, and the other is that I like to see the guys in their Kilts (skirts) ;) ( just kidding)!

But it is something that we like to do together. So over the next few days , I will post some

shots of our day. it rain on and off that day but it was a fun day!

a funny story too go with this pic, but at the time it could have been bad!

we were with some friends , and they were showing us the sites .

At the time of our visit to New York it was fall and the trees were in full color,

well back to the pic, we were driving around so I could take some pic. our friend J, would pull over and let me take a pic, when he heard the click of my camera he would take off. well we drove to see Cornell U, and it is avery big place.

We were at a stop light and I saw this place,and thought itwas a cool shot, not thinking took the shot.

And J heard the click and take off , though a red light!

havn't taking any pics lately,

so the next few pictures , are of the trip that we took to New York State, a few years back,

HOW A COUNTRY PREACHER TELLS A STORY!

Well last week was VBS , and it was a good one !

on Thurday Preacher S. went to the top, to tell the kids about "Zacchaeus"

cloud watching again.

when i saw these cloud , I thought they were sumo wrestlers! And the more i watched them, the more they looked like they were wrestling , flesh vs spirit!
