Just north of us when we lived in Long Beach was the launch pad for the famous Goodyear blimp. We often saw it over and around the city. I wanted very much to take a ride on it, but they stopped public rides years ago.

Oh yes, we are watching for Hurricane Ike towards next weekend. It will be slowed down if it comes inland this far (100 miles).. :-)
