A new week and the snow it starting to melt, slower then it fell.

I have posted this before but I like it.  my memories of one grandmothers, I call my

country grandmaw , because I was blessed with 2 grandmothers, a city and a country one.

to tell the truth they both were country ones, but one moved to the city to live and work.

hope you all have a safe week.

I'm glad that you have good memories of your grandmothers. Your tale of Grandma Suzi and her birds, and then you also feeding and watching made my morning. My mom did the same with stray cats, she feed them in a small always empty hog house, they had straw for bedding too if they wished to sleep and rest, or live there. I do also have nice grandparent memories; one lived about half a mile from us, Dad sharecropped the smallest of their three Eastern Nebraska farms. The other moved away when I was six, first to Missouri and a few years later to Oregon, we seldom visited with them after that.
My wish is that every child in the world could be as fortunate as you and I were.
Thank you for your nice comment on my place this morning.

I wish I had memories of my grandparents. They lived in Minnesota and we in California. there are only a few visits back and forth but I was so young that my memories really aren't anything but the snapshots taken. Finances were so thight for all of us that part of me is sad for what I miss out on.
Grateful to be close to my Grands now. I cherish the time together.

I was blessed to have both of my grandmothers close, but missed out on knowing my grandfathers. My mom's dad died before I was born, My dad's dad I barely remember.
