I am glad that you still have the rose, it is very pretty. Flowers and plants that we are given and can keep them for a long time mean a lot. My mother-in-law died in 2009 and when she died we had a flowering plant from her funeral, as we did from Mrs. Jim's sister's (she died of the Covid-19 earlier this year, also my older daughter's husband). I plucked a bit of MIL's alae vera plant and stuck it in the pot and it grew and looked so very nice. But a lack of water for the three months we were gone did it in, but not the taller funeral plant. ..
