Was going though some stuff , trying to find something to post, and came along with this, I got this in an e-mail 3 years ago today, and the reason I know that, is on the date is was sent was on Sunday,Nov 07,2004. so to me it was a sign to post it today Wed. Nov 7, 2007!

A young, new preacher was walking with a older, more seasoned preacher in the garden one day. feeling a bit insecure about what God had for him to do, he was asking the older preacher for some advice. The older preacher walked up to a rose bush and handed the young preacher a rosebud and told him to open it without tearing any of the petals. The young preacher looked in disbelief at the older preacher and was trying to figure out what a rosebud could possibly have to do with his wanting to know the will of God for his life and ministry. But, because of his great respect for the older preacher, he proceeded to try and unfold the rosebud while keeping every petal intact... It wasn't long before he realized how impossible this was to do. Noticing the young preacher' s inability to unfold the rosebud without tearing it, the older preacher began to recite the following poem:

It is only a tiny rosebud

A flower of God's design;

But I cannot unfold the petals

With these climsy hands of mine.

The secret of unfolding flowers

Is not know to such as I.

God opens the flower so sweetly,

Then, in my hands, they die.

If I cannot unfold a rosebud,

The flower of God's design,

Then how can I have the wisdom

To unfold this life of mine?

So, I'll trust in him for leading

Each moment of my day.

I will look to Him for His guidance

Each step of the Pilgrim's way

The pathway the lies before me

Only my Heavenly Father Knows.

I'll trust Him to unfold the moments

Just as He unfolds the rose.

I love to read, and sometimes I will reread a book over and over.

And each time I do, I see things that I don't catch the first time .

It stands out more the second time, well it happen this time to! I'm rereading "Breathing Grace" and there this one part that jumped out to me. "God's grace does not always apppear as soft rose petaled comfort. sometimes grace touches us with a loving hand of pain.

When Christ's hand reaches out to guide us through a valley of pain, look carefully at the hands that are holding our's His hands are scarred etched with evidence of pain. The hands of the Creator of the universe carrys the wounds of love for his children. They are the scares of grace"

since I have been here in blogland , I have met,a lot of people that live with pain, day ~in~day~out . and this made me think of them, They do it with Grace!

Read this ,this morning and it is soooo true!

LORD PROP US UP

Every time I am ask to pray, I think of the old deacon who always prayed,"Lord prop us up on our leanin'side"

After hearing him pray that prayer many times, someone asked him why he prayed that prayer so fervently, He answered , "Well sir, you see, it's like this.... I got an old barn out back, it's been there a long time. It's withstood a lot of weather, it's gone through alot of storms and it's stood for many of years. It's still standing. But one day I noticed it was leaning to one side abit. So I went and got some pine poles and propped it up on it's leaning side so it wouldn't fall, Then I got to thinking 'bout that and how much I was like that old barn. I've been around a long time, I've stood alot of life's storms. I've withstood alot bad weather in my life, I've withstood alot of hard times and I'm still standing too. I find myself leaning to one side from time to time. I like to ask the Lord to prop us up on our leaning side,'cause I figure alot of us get to leaning, at times"

Sometime we get to leaning toward anger, leaning toward bitterness, and alot of things that we shouldn't, so we need to pray,"Lord, prop us up on our leaning side," So we will stand straight and tall again, to glorify the LORD!!!!!

1. she don't like to talk about herself

2. she is very shy,

3. she don't like to talk on the phone.

4. she loves to read, and when she is a alone she turns the Cd player up full blast,

5.she loves to take pictures , and sometimes if she see something, she will take the picture to see if it will turn up in the picture !

6. she loves to eat ice cream when it is really cold outside ( banana pops, is her fav.) and she loves her coffee !

7. before she was married , she live in Cailf for a few months. and was at a race track, with her sister and her husband, and Chubby Checkers ,

was there, so she (jel) ran out and was going to take his picture, and he took the camera out of her hands, then gave to his girlfriend , and she took a picture of him and me,

8. she has no funny bone !

100 ENCOURAGERS WANTED

I don't know about you, but I love to hear , ya got mail!

but , before that I love to get letters in the mail, and esp. cards , that were encouraging.

Well I came across a Blogger who has started a simple minisry called , (Love in the mail) John Dobbs over at Out Here Hope Remains http://johndobbs.wordpress.com/

is trying to get 100 encouragers, to send cards to diffent people that could use a lift, let them know that they are being prayed for , and let them know that they are cared for, if ya go to his blog he can tell you better , what he is trying to do!
